WearelookingforaStudyTechnicianAnimalOperationforourShanghaioffice.Ifyouareanexpertingoodlaboratorypractice(GLP)andanimalexperimentalandenjoyworkingonchallengesandhandlingdifferenttechnologies,wewouldlovetospeaktoyouonourStudyTechnicianAnimalOperationopportunity.
Responsibilities/Duties:
?Thescopeofthispositioniswithinonesiteacrossmultiplestudiesdaily.
?Learnshowtodetermineanddocumentclinicalobservations,bodyweightdata,foodconsumptiondataenvironmentaldata,andotherdataontheappropriatedatacollectionsystem(orbyhandwhennecessary).
?Learnshowtointerpretaprotocol.
?Learnsstudymanagement,dataorganization,QAauditresponse,internalandexternalclientcommunicationskills,andqualitycheckprocedures.
?Learnshowtoensurethatastudyisconductedaccordingtoprotocol,SOPs,IACUCandgovernmentregulations.
?Learnshowtoperformbasicdosingtechniquesandrestraintprocedures.
?MaintainsanimalroomsandequipmentincompliancewithGLPandAAALACrequirements.
?Learnscommonlyusedclinicalsamplingtechniques.Learnshowtoprocessandpackagebiologicalsamplesforshipmenttoclient.
?Receive,donateandeuthanizeanimalsaccordingtoAVMAguidelines.
?Recognizesdeviationsfromexpectedresultsandtakesappropriateaction.
?Abletoadapttechniquestonewproceduresorparticularneedsasdirected.
?Effectivelyschedulesmultipleassignments.
?MaintainswelldocumentedlaboratoryrecordsaccordingtoGLPs.Reviewsowndataandidentifiespotentialproblems.
?Learnstoutilizecomputersoftwareforformsandproceduregeneration.
?Mayinstructlessexperiencedstaff.
?Learnsbloodpressureandbodytemperaturemeasurementproceduresasappropriate.
?Reportsallanimalcareconcernsandbecomesinvolvedintheresolutionandappropriatecorrectiveaction,whennecessary.
?Maybeinvolvedinclienttoursorclientinteractionduringstudyinitiations.
?Otherdutiesasassigned
Education/Qualifications
?AssociatedegreeinLifeSciences,AssociatedegreeinLaboratoryAnimalTechnology,inVeterinaryTechnologywith0-2yearsofrelatedexperience.
Experience
Noexperienceisrequiredifyoumeettheeducationrequirements.or0-2yearsofrelatedexternalexperiencebasedoneducation.orAminimumof6monthsexperienceasaStudyTechTraineewhileemployedatCovance,oraminimumoftwoyearsofrelatedexperiencemaybesubstitutedforeducationrequirements
